Fairy ring (W3)
Der engl. "fairy ring" (seit 1599), ein Kreis aus Pilzen, der sich bei manchen Pilzen ganz natürlich beim Ausbreiten des eigentlichen Pilzes unter der Erde ergibt. Solche Kreise fasste man in früheren Zeiten als Tanzplätze der Hexen (engl. "fairies") auf.
